The Business
Established in 2006 African Savannah Products (Pty) Ltd is a privately owned Company and operates as a developer, manufacturer and supplier of canned food products.
Our 1500sqm facility is export approved and under the constant monitoring of the National Regulator of Compulsory Specifications (NRCS).
Specializing primarily in exotic and commercial meat and liver pate’s, the company also produces a range of meat and chicken packs as well as pasta, fruit and berry products.
Over the last year the company has developed its own brand of retail products under the Krystle Label which are available in most Spar outlets in Gauteng and Cape Town. We have also been approved as a supplier to Shoprite Checkers and are in the process of rolling out in these stores.
Custom products have been developed for new lines which include MRE’s (meals ready to eat) for various High Protein applications including the NSNP and SANDF.
The company has a nationwide distribution network which is made up of five agents across South Africa.

Capacity
The facility currently has the capacity to process between eight and ten thousand units per day depending on the product.
Employees
The Company employs 9 people at present (6 women and 3 male) as we unfortunately had to retrench some staff during the pandemic and due to the general downturn in the economy. This was a huge loss as most of our employees have been with the company for more than ten years.
